House by a Lake
This is an oil on board painting by John Trudgill in the mid 20th century. Trudgill founded the Norwich 20 collective of Norfolk artists after the 2nd World War in 1945. They were exploring a new style of painting for Norfolk after the war.
I love the charm of this painting with it's thick brush strokes, vibrant colour and almost naive impressionistic style. It would be a wonderful addition to a wall of pictures or alone adding a country cottage charm to an interior.
It is 55 x 44 cms and has a wooden frame painted a mid grey.
